Essay

The reseasrch presents the results of surgical treatment of patients with acute obstructive ileus using an algorithm for most favorable surgery tactics aimed at reducing the frequency of anastomotic leakage and increasing the number of one-stage radical surgical interventions. As a result of using PNFA in the treatment of patients with CIS of carcinogenesis suppurative-septic complications reduced significantly, fatal outcomes zeroed out, the length of postoperative treatment shortened, the patients experienced early social and vocational rehabilitation through simple and safe early extraperitoneal reconstructive procedures, as well as improvement of both short- and long-term results of treatment. The quality of life of the patients in Group I operated on using our methodology is statistically considerably different from the quality of life of the patients who underwent Hartmann’s surgery and is undeniably higher based on the general health (GH) indicators, social and role-physical functioning (SF, RP), bodily pain (P) and the quality of constipation (according to Wexner scoring system). Patients who had Hartmann’s surgery require significantly bigger financial support from the state budget, additional personal expenses to purchase the means of stoma care (10300 UAH a year for 1 patient), and increased welfare benefits (the expenses on such patients from the state budget made up 16320 UAH a month in 2015).
