The dissertation is devoted to the development and evaluation of the effectiveness of the experimental program of sectional exercises on volleyball on the basis of the integrated use of sports games for students 18-19 years old in a higher education institution. The dissertation analyzes the current state of the problem of organizing the system of physical education of students in institutions of higher education in the context of a significant reduction in the amount of compulsory physical education classes in the curriculum of the preparation of students of different specialties and reorientation to optional sectional exercises on various sports. The analysis of the dynamics of the level of general and special physical fitness, physical fitness, functional state of the cardiopulmonary system and the physical health of students 18-19 years in the course of sectional exercises on volleyball in the institution of higher education. Taking into account the obtained data, the author's program of sectional exercises on the specified sport is developed, which involves redistribution of the amount of different types of training (theoretical, general and special physical, technical, tactical and gaming), as well as additional use of means of other types of sports games (basketball and handball), which was caused by a set of factors associated with the peculiarities of these sports and the recommendations of the volleyball training program for high school sports and sports schools Olympic reserve. The results of the study allowed to state the effectiveness of the experimental program of sectional exercises with the comprehensive use of sports games in connection with the significant improvement of all indicators of the physical condition of students The purpose of the study was to provide scientific substantiation of the experimental program of sectional exercises on volleyball to improve the physical condition of students on the basis of the integrated use of sports games. It is proved that application in the course of sectional exercises on volleyball offered by the author's program contributed to a more substantial, in comparison with the traditional program, increase of level of physical fitness, physical, functional readiness and physical health of students 18-19 years old. More pronounced were the positive changes in these indicators for girls who were engaged in the volleyball section for the program we developed.
