Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of risk assessment and prophylaxis of venous thrombosis and embolism in patients with isolated and severe combined abdominal trauma. In the course of research and prospective analysis of 105 patients with isolated and severe combined abdominal trauma. Using statistical analysis, a dynamic prognostic scale was developed that contains a list of risk factors for deep vein thrombosis before and after surgery, their prognostic value is given in scores. We used clinical-laboratory, instrumental, sociological and statistical methods of research. While studying the risk factors for venous thrombosis and embolism, attention was paid to the significant increase in the number of episodes of venous thrombosis in the elderly patients, in particular, on reaching the age of 50, the risk of deep vein thrombosis increases twice (p<0.05), 62 years of age – 8 times (p<0.05). Given the high degree of correlation of postoperative immobilization for more than 48 hours with the development of venous thrombosis and embolism, the indicator was introduced into the general scale for determining the degree of risk of postoperative deep vein thrombosis in patients with isolated and severe combined abdominal trauma. The introduction of elaborated dynamic prognostic scale for assessing the risk of deep vein thrombosis and the method of prophylaxis in patients with isolated and severe combined abdominal trauma allowed to significantly reduce the incidence of venous thrombosis and embolism in the injured patients from 25.9 % to 7.1 % (p<0.05).
