Kudria A. Medico-social substantiation of the functional-organizational model of improving the activity of a general practitioner-the family doctor

The thesis is devoted to the scientific substantiation of the functional and organizational model for improving the work of a general practitioner - the family doctor, as the primary functional unit of primary medical care in Ukraine. Complex medical and social research found insufficient legal and regulatory support for organizing the activities of GP-FD, which causes unsatisfactory conditions of his work, failure to use motivational mechanisms, dissatisfaction of the population with medical aid at the level of GP-FD, which necessitated the scientific substantiation of the functional-organizational model for improving the work of GPs - FD with the aim of improving the quality of PHC with achieving its continuity, accessibility and priority, the basis of which was the beam s international practices and recommendations of WHO. The necessity of complex improvement of the GP-FD activity in the modern conditions of a socially-oriented market society is substantiated by a specially developed functional-organizational model for improving the work of the GP- FD, which is based on the principles of the systemic and functional unity of its components, aimed at organizing the effective work of the GP- FD the main tasks identified by WHO - continuity, accessibility and cost-effectiveness of PHC.
