Object of research - the process of vocational training of students of vocational educational institutions; subject of research - pedagogical conditions of effective formation of social-professional maturity of students of vocational educational institutions; the specifics of the object and the purpose of the research led to the use of a complex of theoretical and empirical methods: theoretical methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization of scientific literature on philosophy, psychology and pedagogy, construction of theoretical model; synthesis of empirical material, classification, deduction, induction, modeling; empirical methods: diagnostic methods (questionnaires, interviews, conversations, sociometric methods); observational methods (direct, indirect, observation included, direct and indirect); prognostic methods (expert evaluations, generalization of independent characteristics, modeling, extrapolation, scaling, ranking, etc.); experimental methods; praxymmetric methods (analysis of educational activity, professiographic analysis, etc.); purpose of the study consists in providing theoretical substantiation and experimental verification of the effectiveness of the pedagogical conditions for the formation of socio-professional maturity of the students of vocational educational institutions; the scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the research is that for the first time: the theoretical and methodical principles of formation of social and professional maturity of students of vocational and technical educational establishments, which is defined as the quality of the student's personality, characterized by the adoption and assimilation of social and professional norms and values, responsible attitude towards their professional duties and active participation in practical activity have been substantiated.
