Essay

The state of scientific development, source base and theoretical and methodological principles of research of Middle Eastern conflicts in the bilateral relations of the French Republic and the USA are analyzed and systematized. The Middle Eastern conflicts, which are of great importance for the Franco-American relations and directly influence their evolution, are investigated. It has been proved that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the Iraq crisis, the Lebanese crisis, the Iranian nuclear issue, the Arab revolutions, the war in Libya and the Syrian crisis have had a significant impact on the development of the Franco-American bilateral relations. During 2002-2017, the transition from the phase of confrontation to the phase of deepening mutually beneficial cooperation and the formation of the Franco-American partnership in the Middle East took place in the bilateral relations between the United States and France.
