Yaschuk V. Activities of Professor V. V. Skopetsky in the field of domestic cybernetic science (in the second half of the 20th century – the beginning of the 21st century).

The thesis is devoted to the complex study of the way of life and to the comprehensive analysis of the scientific, pedagogical, representative, educational activities of the outstanding Ukrainian cybernetic scientist V. V. Skopetsky. The systematization and classification of the source complex for the research is carried out, the main theoretical and methodological principles of scientific research of the problem are described. On the basis of examined archival materials and scientific literature, the biography of V.V. Skopetsky is presented, the periodization of the scientist’s scientific path is made, as well as the conditions and key factors affecting formation of his scientific outlook are revealed. Made the analys of place of the research work of V. V. Skopetsky in the context of the development of the cybernetic industry in Ukraine. V. V. Skopetsky successfully combined research work at the Institute of Cybernetics named after V.M. Glushkov of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with pedagogical practice in the walls of the Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv. The reproduction of the integral picture of the scientific space of Professor V. Skopetsky made it possible to make a conclusion on his significant contribution to the development of the domestic cybernetic science.
