The dissertation is devoted to the research of the problem of formation of professional reliability of future officers-borderguards in the process of professional training. The essence of the professional reliability of an integral qualitative characteristic of the personality features, that covers personal, motivational and activity spheres, and reflects the potential possibility of the future officers-borderguards to carry out operational and official activities in any, including extreme, conditions has been revealed. The structure of professional reliability of future officers-borderguards as a unity of the following components have been defined: value and personal component (personal and professional qualities, psychological readiness for professional activities, personality value orientations, theoretical knowledge), motivational and functional component (professional motivation, attitude to the profession, the responsibility for own actions, professional duty, patriotism), activity and analytical component (professional experience, physical fitness, weapons and special equipment handling, analysis of own actions, making independent decisions).
The following criteria have been determined:
value and personal (indicators: personality features formation, personality value orientations manifestation, awareness of the theoretical knowledge significance for professional activity);
motivational and functional (indicators: readiness for professional activity, attitude to professional activity, responsibility for own actions);
activity and analytical (indicators: ability: to apply acquired professional experience; to analyze own actions; to make independent decisions) in order to diagnose the formation of future officers-borderguards reliability (high, medium, low).
The pedagogical conditions of its effective formation have been substantiated and experimentally verified:
orientation of the educational process content of the higher military educational institution to the formation of the cadets professional reliability in accordance with current requirements of operational and service activity;
implementation of the methodology for the creation of Integrity Inspectors Cadets Council;
cadets motivation development for professional self-improvement;
preparation of scientific and pedagogical staff for the professional reliability formation of future officers-borderguards.
Structural and functional model of professional reliability formation, which includes certain blocks has been developed. They are: target block (purpose, principles and approaches to formation, content of professional reliability); organizational and content block (forms, methods, learning and methodological support, stages, pedagogical conditions for the professional reliability formation) and diagnostic block (criteria, levels of professional reliability formation, corrective measures, result).
