Shevtsova Y. Library and Information Science Journals of European countries as a channel of professional communication

Thesis focuses on identification the ways of enhancing professional communication of Library and Information Science specialists by increasing usage efficiency of European Library and Information Science journals. The state of development of the research topic has been analyzed, the theoretical principles and the methodology of the research have been determined, the system of impact factors of Library and Information Science journals that influences professional communication has been identified; the thematic focus of the leading European Library and Information Science journals has been revealed; the level of usage of foreign Library and Information Science journals by Ukrainian Library and Information Science specialists has been established; the core of European Library and Information Science journals has been decided; the criteria of ranking of European Library and Information Science journals as an effective means of professional communication of Ukrainian Library and Information Science specialists have been substantiated.
