Khraban T. Concept WOMAN on Internet communication (based on English, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian languages).

The thesis proposes a complex approach combining conceptual and discourse analysis to study the concept WOMAN in English, Portuguese, Russian, and Ukrainian online resources. The thesis determines the development level of the concept WOMAN in the conceptual consciousness of the representatives of the studied linguistic cultures and representations of the concept WOMAN on Internet communication; deals with the system-forming parameters of gender sensitive discourse in the social network women-visitors’ statuses. The paper provides the analysis of the peculiar nature of the gender categorization asymmetry through the example of the concept WOMAN on the Internet communication. The relevance of the thesis has been determined by the need for a comprehensive study of the concept WOMAN on Internet communication as an integral part of gender sensitive discourse in the paradigm language – gender as a social construct of linguoculture – discourse.
