Boiko I. Volunteering in the Olympic sports

The dissertation is dedicated to the problem of formation and development of the volunteer movement in the system of Olympic sports is considered, as well as ways of attracting representatives of different strata of the population of Ukraine to volunteer activity are grounded. In the course of the dissertation research the main tendencies of the Olimpiс volunteer movement were determined, in particular, the important role of the newest computer technologies; expanding the range of functional responsibilities and increasing the total number of people who expressed their desire to help organize the Olympic Games; an increase in the percentage of foreigners among volunteers of the event; lower middle-aged volunteers; strengthening the rules for selecting and expanding the content of training programs for Olympic volunteers with each Olympic cycle. The revealed results allowed getting a comprehensive view of the features of selection, the methodological conditions of training and the organization of the work of volunteers in the system of Olympic sports.
