Prus N. The formation of professional image of future teacher of foreign languages

The thesis deals with the challenge of the professional image formation of a foreign language teacher in Master’s programme. The essence and structure of professional image of a foreign language teacher have been investigated basing on the analysis of key definitions of such notions as „image”, „professional image”, „pedagogic image”, articulated peculiarities of pedagogic image of a teacher of higher educational institution and specific character of professional activity of a foreign language teacher. The influence of the estimated pedagogic conditions (providing positive motivation as to the formation of professional image components of a foreign language teacher; directing Master’s training contents to theoretical support of foreign language teacher professional image formation; elaborating and implementing methodological support of the stages of future foreign language teacher professional image formation) on future foreign language teacher professional image formation in Master’s programme is theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified.
