Dmytrenko Y. State regulation of the use of polygraph technologies in the security and defense sector of Ukraine

The thesis presents the first theoretical substantiation of the content of state regulation of the use of polygraph technologies in the security and defense sector of Ukraine and reveals the problems of introduction of polygraph technologies in power and special structures of the state for their further solution by means of improvement of state regulation in this field, as well as development of theoretical and practical recommendations for the state and military authorities to ensure the use of polygraph technologies in the security and defense sector of Ukraine. The thesis defines and characterizes the mechanisms of state regulation of the use of polygraph technologies in the security and defense sector of Ukraine (organizational, social, legal, psychological) and shows their main role, which consists in support of state security, combatting against corruption in the state authorities with the help of polygraph technologies, which in aggregate will ensure the effective functioning of a balanced system of national security of Ukraine. The thesis analyzes and generalizes the international experience of state regulation of the use of polygraph technologies in the security and defense structures. The priority directions and ways of improvement of state regulation of the use of polygraph technologies in the security and defense sector of Ukraine are proposed.Methodological tools of conducting of polygraph examinations in the security and defense sector of Ukraine are improved. The project "Regulation on the organization and use of polygraph technologies in the security and defense sector of Ukraine" was developed (on the example of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine).
