The thesis is a theoretical and experimental research into the problem of the formation of legal competence of future specialists in the hotel industry and tourism in the process of professional training. The thesis looks into the essence, functions, content of structural components (motivational-target, value-assessment, cognitive-functional, personality-volitional) of the legal competence of future specialists of hotel industry and tourism; theoretically justifies, develops and experimentally tests the technology of its formation among the students of corresponding specialities, which is implemented on the basis of taking into account the specific legal core (civil, criminal, international legal norms) of professional activity of specialists in the hotel and tourist industry. The technology includes three blocks (conceptual-purposeful, content-procedural and control-output block) and is implemented by motivational-inductive, organizational-content and control-correction stages. The thesis specifies the criteria (motivational-axiological, knowledge-functional, personality-reflexive) and characteristics of the formation of legal competence of future specialists in the tourist-hotel industry. Based on using them, the effectiveness of this technology has been experimentally proved.
