Object – psychosomatic competence of students-psychologists; purpose – to define cognitive features of development and means of formation of psychosomatic competence of future psychologists; methods – theoretical (systematization and generalization), empirical (psychological-pedagogical experiment), mathematical-statistical methods of data processing; novelty – positive relations of signs of psychosomatic competence of future psychologists with figurative and verbal creativity, spatial imagination and verbal intelligence are revealed for the first time; typological features of psychosomatic competence as factor of professional and role identification of future psychologists are defined for the first time; ideas of professional identity of future psychologists are expanded by definition of the place of psychosomatic competence of its structure; ideas of interceptive sensitivity and the developing relation to own body at student's age as characteristics of high level of psychosomatic competence are expanded; ideas of opportunities of psychological maintenance of formation of a cognitive component corporal I at student's age for formation of psychosomatic competence of future psychologists are expanded; the characteristic corporal I are gained further development by determination of cognitive features of psychosomatic competence at student's age; results – the developed and approved program of psychological maintenance of formation of psychosomatic competence of students psychologists can be used during vocational training and increase in professional level of practical psychologists. Results of scientific research can be recommended for application in practical activities of teachers of educational institutions, scientists and practical psychologists of psychological service of higher education institution. Results of a dissertation research are introduced in educational process of the higher school; area – psychology.
