Lobuzin I. Digital collection of scientific library: organization of information resources and network communication of users

Іn the thesis the circle of issues connected with realization of library digital projects of digitization of historical-cultural and scientific achievements, organization of library digital technological complexes are considered. Definition of digital collections, basic principles of their construction and life cycle management, based on the introduction of digital curation into the library activity, including: planning, selection, description, management, preservation, access and use are clarified. It is substantiated and experimentally confirmed that the solution of the whole spectrum of the problems can be ensured by optimal organization of the technological infrastructure of the digital complex of the scientific library on the basis of interconnected modules (subsystems): creation of digital copies; administering and storing; description and accounting; processing and management; search and publication. Modular digital complex was formed and tested in the framework of the digital project of The Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine.
