Veretilnyk V. Development of the Border Guard Officers’ Special Military Competence during their Master's Programme Course

The thesis is devoted to the research of the problem of the border guard officers’ special military competence development during their Master’s programme course. It has been ascertained that the border guard officers’ special military competence is a professionally important integrative property, which is the result of professional training at a higher military educational institution and covers a set of values, world outlooks, personal qualities, professional knowledge, skills, abilities which determine the effectiveness of the state border control during a special period and special operations conduct. The structural components of the border guard officers’ special military competence are value-personal, cognitive-informational and activity-productive ones. The border guard officers’ special military competence can be evaluated using three criteria, in particular personal, cognitive and activity ones. The border guard officers’ special military competence depending on its development may be manifested at low, medium and high levels. The structural and functional model containing motivational-target, content-technological and evaluation-performance blocks allows to systematically organize the work on the heads of border units special military competence development.
