The thesis is the first in theory and methodology of professional education theoretical-experimental study of the problem of preparation of the future teachers for patriotic education of schoolchildren by means of Ukrainian musical art. The state of elaboration of the problem of the future teachers’ preparation for patriotic education of schoolchildren is found out. The pedagogical potential of Ukrainian musical art concerning patriotic education of modern youth is revealed. The essence, criteria, indicators and levels of preparedness of the future teachers for patriotic education of schoolchildren by means of Ukrainian musical art are determined. The model of preparation of the future teachers for patriotic education of schoolchildren by means of Ukrainian musical art and pedagogical conditions of its realization are developed and scientifically grounded. The effectiveness of the model of preparation of the future teachers for patriotic education of schoolchildren by means of Ukrainian musical art and pedagogical conditions for its realization are experimentally tested.
