This thesis examines the issue of preparing future logistics specialists to management activity. Within the scope of the author’s interpretation, it defines and gives scientific credence to the essence of the “readiness of future logistics specialists to management activity” phenomenon, its component structure (motivation-value, individual-psychological, cognitive-operational, organization-activity components); specifies the notions of “vocational training of future logistics specialists”, “readiness to management activity”, “management activity of a future logistics specialist”; detects criteria (orientation-value, evaluative, cognitive, communicative-interpersonal) with correspondent indices, describes levels (reproductive, productive, creative) of future logistics specialists’ readiness to management activity; defines and gives scientific credence to pedagogical conditions of vocational training of future logistics specialists in management activity (activation of students cognitive activity and provision of positive internal motivation during the process of their professional formation; actualization of interdisciplinary integration and its program-methodological accompaniment during the process of vocational training of future logistics specialists in management activity taking into account the integrated nature of their practical activity; organization of communicative development of students contributing to the rise of professional communication culture level and improvement of means and techniques of partner interaction; engagement of students into active vocation-oriented training activity); develops and approves a model and methodology of vocational training of future logistics specialists in management activity covering motivation-cognitive, integrative-practical, creative-productive, practice-oriented stages.
