Vlasenko Y. Competitiveness of the national innovation system in the global scientific and technological space

Object of study: the competitiveness of the national innovation system in the global scientific and technological space. Aim: developing theoretical and methodological grounds of the research of the national innovation system at the stage of globalization and working out scientific and practical recommendations for ensuring the competitiveness of the national innovation system in terms of the global scientific and technological space formation. Methods: dialectical method, method of scientific generalization, analysis and synthesis, comparative analysis, methods of economic and mathematical analysis and modeling. Scientific novelty: the conceptual improvement of the methodological and organizational support of the national innovation system competitiveness in terms of global scientific and technological space is offered; the theoretical and methodological bases of the national innovation system research are improved, namely, based on the identification of the determining factors of the national innovation system formation, the definition of the national innovation system is provided and the structural scheme of the national innovation system is developed; the organizational and economic mechanism of ensuring the competitiveness of the national innovation system of Ukraine is offered; the conceptual and categorical apparatus of competitiveness research is developed in terms of providing author's definition of the concepts of "competitiveness" and "national competitiveness"; the quantitative and analytical principles of determination of directions of countries’ innovative systems inclusion into the global value added chains are developed. The research results are implemented in practical activities of The Institute of Legislation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Department of Economic Policy of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the Public Union "Interregional Union of Poultry and Fodder Producers of Ukraine"; in the educational process of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman. Sphere of usage: interdisciplinary.
