Essay

The concept of "crisis" is considered not as destructive, but as a positive factor and characterized by crisis as a syndrome of modernization of the political system of Ukraine. The theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of the crisis phenomena of socio-political modernization as a parameter that, on the one hand, reduce the functionality of the political system, and on the other reveal failures that impede the internal ability of its elements, structures and institutions to reproduce and improve, are generalized. The regularities of external influence on the development of crisis phenomena in the political system have been observed, in particular, the Ukrainian-Russian confrontation as a mutual influence of political systems with similar crisis phenomena, which are at different stages of deployment, is considered. An in-depth understanding of the concept of a crisis syndrome of modernization as a phase process, which, reproducing a new stage of development, on the one hand, threatens the integrity of the system and can lead to its destruction, and on the other hand, it can act as an intensifier of modernization changes. The relevance and perspective of further scientific political investigations of crisis phenomena as modernization intensifiers is grounded in order to analyze and forecast the prospects for the implementation of socio-political modernization of modern Ukraine.
