Sorokvashyn S. The development of information and communication competence of future skilled workmen of building industry in the course of their professional training

The problem of the development of information and communication competence of future skilled workmen of building industry in the course of their professional training has been investigated and a new approach to its solution–introduction of certain technology for the development of the competence mentioned above, has been proposed. Theoretical underpinnings of the development of information and communication competence of future skilled workmen of building industry have been studied; the essence, structure and criteria of the competence under investigation have been grounded. The appropriateness of the technology used for the development of information and communication competence of future skilled workmen of building industry was theoretically grounded considering the fact that the technology is based on system, activity, competent, context, person-centered approaches and contains the following stages: propaedeutic, content-and-procedural, reflexive-and-analytical, control-and-evaluative. Original specially designed course “Information and Communication Competence”, “Electronic educational and methodological complex on Informatics” as well as the bank of educational learning materials for the teachers of vocational schools, aimed at developing information and communication competence of future skilled workmen of building industry have been worked out.
