A dissertation research is focused on highlighting the vocational training of specialists for the food industry and processing industry at the vocational educational institutions of Ukraine’s western regions (the second half of XX – the beginning of XXI century), which is a complicated, cross functional system, adapted for the needs of economic construction, having the proper network, contents, forms and methods, which developed dynamically in conjunction with social-and-economic, cultural and political changes.
A holistic historical-and-pedagogical analysis was carried out regarding the training of specialists in the food and processing industries at the vocational educational institutions of Ukraine’s western regions (the second half of XX – the beginning of ХХІ century); a scientific analysis of the state of the problem’s research of vocational training for specialists in the food and processing industry in the pedagogical theory and praxis of vocational educational institutions was carried out. The basic premises of establishment of the vocational training for the specialists in food and processing industries are determined at the vocational educational institutions of Ukraine’s western regions.
The organizational-and-pedagogical principles for training specialists for the food and processing industries are determined at the vocational educational institutions of Ukraine’s western regions (the second half of XX – the beginning of XXI century).
A periodization was justified with a view to vocational training for specialists in the food and processing industries on grounds of studying social-and-economic peculiarities of development of Ukraine’s western regions during the period under investigation, which comprises four periods chronologically, with determination of corresponding stages in each of them, consisting of changes’ courses, the peculiarities of which are designated with regard to each region
It was justified that the development of Ukraine’s food industry is correlated to the introduction of new types of enterprises, current technology of manufacturing food products, which, in turn, requires training of multi-discipline specialists, with profound and diverse intellectual scope. The necessity of introducing changes gradually was justified with a view to approaches towards the training of specialists in the sphere of food technology, taking the aforementioned circumstances into account.
It was clarified that with a view to the production needs of food and processing industries, for which the specialists were trained at vocational educational institutions, the corresponding contents of vocational training was developed during the period under investigation, which was embedded into qualification profile of professions and established in academic programs for stand-alone disciplines. It was established that the choice of contents, training methods and organizational forms was intended to consolidate theoretical and practical training.
The major drawbacks were educed, which impinged the training of specialists for the food and processing industries.
The possibilities of transforming historic experience are specified with a view to vocational training, introduction of innovative forms and methods of the vocational training of specialists for food and processing industries at the vocational educational institutions of Ukraine’s western regions.
The ways of improving vocational preparation’s quality were justified for the future specialists of food and processing industries at the vocational educational institutions, along with the possibilities of employing ideas of advanced educational experience in vocational training of future specialists under conditions of modernization of Ukraine’s vocational education system.
The protective lines of updating contents are determined, along with the lines of innovative technology adoption for preparation of specialists for the food and processing industries at vocational education institutions of Ukraine, taking historical experience into account.
