Popova N. Ukraine - EU relations in the context of contemporary processes of Europeanisation

The thesis presents a comprehensive analysis of the evolution of Ukraine-EU relations through the prism of the concept of Europeanisation, its external dimension. The factors that determined the efficiency of the process of Europeanisation of Ukraine were analyzed, as did the problems and peculiarities of the use of its various mechanisms at the main stages of the development of Ukraine-EU relations since 1994. The main crisis trends and problems which exist in the European Union at the current stage and have an impact on the relationship Ukraine - EU were identified. The role of the "Russian factor" as a counterweight to the Europeanisation influence of the EU on Ukraine was examined. The Association Agreement as an instrument of Europeanization was analyzed. The prospects for the development of Ukraine-EU relations were outlined. Realistic tasks for Ukraine on the way of European integration at the current stage were proposed.
