Soroka O. The formation of psychological readiness of future specialists of maritime transport for professional activity in extreme situations.

The thesis deals with the research of the issue of psychological readiness of future specialists of maritime transport for professional activity in extreme situations. It has been revealed that extreme situations of professional activity of the specialists of maritime transport are: a set of emergency situations aboard a ship, the threat of pirate captivity, the threat of terrorist act, the impact of hazardous natural phenomenon, disasters, acts of God. The expediency and the possibility of application of the autocompetency-based approach for effective formation of psychological readiness of future specialists of maritime transport for professional activity in extreme situations have been determined. In conditions of extreme professional situations, autocompetent self-control of the seaman contributes to the autogenous blocking of the development activation of negative mental states present prior to the development of extreme situations and those the development of which are determined by the process of extreme dynamics of the most extreme situation. The theoretical analysis of the issue of psychological readiness of future specialists of maritime transport to professional activity in extreme situations has been carried out. The requirements applicable to the seaman as a specialist of the extreme activity profile, as well as the ways and conditions of the formation of the psychological readiness of future specialists of maritime transport for professional activity in extreme situations based on the autocompetency approach has been explained. The program of formation of psychological readiness of future specialists of maritime transport for professional activity in extreme situations has been developed. The program provides for three consecutive stages of formation of psychological readiness of the future seamen on the basis of the development of autopsychological competence in the process of professional training.
