Kornisheva T. The Cultural and artistic potential of a conductor and choirmaster's personality in the art space of modern Ukraine: performing aspect

The thesis investigates the cultural traits of the conductor and choirmaster’s figure in the artistic space of modern Ukraine expanding the problem of performance of the conductor and choirmaster to the level of cultivating «values» of his activity. The methodological potential of the non-classical philosophical and culturological tooling has allowed to integrate special musical principles of study in the historical and cultural context and in the concrete nature of cultural realities as both historical and contemporary. In the context of culturological methodology and tooling, the conductor and choirmaster’s typological characteristics such as frontierness and liminality have been defined. Transgressiveness of the creative component of his performance has been emphasized. The problems of culturological concept «culturology» and its derivative concepts «cultural cultivating», «culture creating», «cultural enlightenment» which formed the proper theoretical plane for the realization of the main task of the work have been determined – to investigate the phenomenon of conducting the performance of the choirmaster in the aspect of domestic cultivation comprehensively and systematically. The meaningful potential of the connotations data of the concept «culturology» is stated, their heuristic significance is indicated for the analysis of those processes of the world and national culture which are manifested in the modality of cultural changes, cultural achievements, cultural dynamics, the active subject of which is the figure of the choir conductor.
