This PhD thesis is a research devoted to the basics, objectives and problems of the development of pedagogical competence of teachers of physical education in the system of methodical work of the agrarian university.
The object of research is professional activity of the teachers of physical education at institution of higher education
The purpose of this dissertation is to validate the technology of the development of pedagogical competence of teachers of physical education in the system of methodical work of the agrarian university in order to boost the level of health saving aspect of their activity.
In this work, the basic terms of research are classified into two groups: the concepts that reveal the entity and specificity of the development of pedagogical competence of teachers of physical education, and concepts, that refer to the development of pedagogical competence of teachers of physical education in the system of methodological work of the agrarian university.
Methodological basis of the research are general theoretical and methodical theses of philosophy and pedagogy concerning professional development and self-development of personnel, theory of knowledge of the relationship between theory and practice, of man as a subject of activity; modern concepts of development of pedagogical competence; systemic and competent approaches to the professional training of specialists; the principles of scientific and unity of consciousness and activity.
The scientific novelty and the theoretical value of the obtained results is that: for the first time the technology of development of pedagogical competence of teachers of physical education in the system of methodical work of the Agrarian University is validated; the structure of the contents of the development of pedagogical competence of teachers of physical education in the system of methodological work of the agrarian university (theoretical knowledge, methodological knowledge, technological knowledge and skills, psychological and pedagogical knowledge); pedagogical conditions of pedagogical competence development of teachers of physical education (formation of value-motivational units; self-development and self-improvement of professional qualities; self-training of teachers); the correlation relations between the level of formation of pedagogical competence, its components and their indicators are experimentally established; the structure of the teacher's competence of the teacher of physical education was improved (components: motivational-value, cognitive-procedural, developmental-educational, health-saving, communicative) and criteria for its formation: (motivational-value, cognitive-procedural, developmental-educational, health-saving, communicative); further development of scientific positions and principles of pedagogical competence development of teachers of physical education in the system of methodical work of the university; teaching and methodological support for the development of the teacher's competence of physical education.
The results of the study represent the development, basis and experimental test of the technology of development of pedagogical competence of teachers of physical education in the system of methodological work of the agrarian university.
The practical significance of the results obtained is determined by the fact that the educational and methodical complex on the development of the pedagogical competence of teachers of physical education in the system of methodological work of the agrarian university: which includes "Oriented forms for monitoring the implementation of tasks that are performed on an independent compulsory elaboration" "Work program on the discipline" “Physical education” for higher education students in full-time study; technology of pedagogical competence development of teachers of physical education in the system of methodical work of the Agrarian University for students and teachers of the Agrarian University; content of the curriculum of the discipline "Physical education" for students and teachers of the Agrarian University.
The materials of the dissertation research can be used for the development of educational programs, teaching aids, educational-methodical complexes and methodical recommendations concerning to the technology of development of pedagogical competence of teachers of physical education.
Throughout the period, the author personally participated in approbation and practical implementation of the developed development of pedagogical competence of teachers of the Department of Physical Education of the Agrarian University, working as a Head of the Department of Physical Education of the Mykolaiv National Agrarian University.
