Essay

Object: multicomponent complex of traditional headdresses of the Crimean Tatars. Goal: historical and ethnographic reconstruction and versatile scientific characteristic of the complex of traditional headdresses presented in men's, women's and children's costumes of the Crimean Tatars in the chronological limits of the XVII - early. XXI century. Methods: comparative-historical, interdisciplinary and structural-functional analysis, field studies, comparative, surveys, questionnaires, descriptive fixation. Results: for the first time, the formation and operation of headgear was reconstructed; a comprehensive analysis of headdresses; the evolution of men's, women's, children's headdresses from the 17th to the 21st century is determined; ethnographic material on children's headdresses is involved; new scientific ethnographic and expeditionary materials were introduced to scientific circulation; the existence of women's jeans in the national culture from the beginning of XVII century and the uniqueness of a set of headdresses is proved; traditional hairstyles on sexual-age features were investigated; the dictionary of national terms for traditional hairstyles has been made; the method of analysis of ethnographic material according to the types and methods of decorating headdresses; system of study of ceremonial functions of women's shawls and scarves; and dictionary "Traditional headdresses of the Crimean Tatars" have been improved. Scope of use: in the study of other areas of material culture, ethnic history, ethnogenesis of the Crimean Tatars, in writing works on the history of the Crimea, local lore editions, encyclopedic, reference literature; popularization of ethnographic traditions in the media sphere and cinematography.
