Essay

Object: regularities of processes occurring in eggplant plants for different elements of high technology of cultivation. Objective: Theoretical substantiation of elements of high technology cultivation of eggplant, suitable for processing. Novelty: the regularities of formation fruit harvest and quality depending on characteristics of variety and elements of production technology eggplant in conditions of Left Bank forest-steppe of Ukraine are theoretically substantiated. Results: It has been proved that for eggplant plants of West Asian subspecies, the optimum arrangement is 70x25 cm (57 thousand pcs./ha), East Asian subspecies 70x45 cm (32 thousand pcs./ha). Correlation relations between phenological, biometric, morphological and chemical composition of fruits, between quality of raw materials and products are established, structure of interconnections and their variability depending on genotype and technology elements are revealed. A multivariable regression analysis yields a mathematical equation for fetus suitable for processing. The proposed scheme of placement plants is estimated economically: the level of profitability in varieties of West Asian subspecies in scheme of 70x25 cm increases from 42 to 94 %, East Asian subspecies in scheme - 70x45 cm from 54 to 59 %. The research results were implemented in five farms of Kharkiv region in the area of 0,18–0,20 ha (predominance 35–60 %).
