The autor of the dissertation studies the linguistics particularities of objectivation of choronyms-concepts Ukraine, France and England, and opportunely oikonyms-concepts Kyiv, Paris, London and hydronyms-concepts Dnipro, Seine, Thames in the belletristic literature of Ukrainian (P. A. Zagrebelnyj, L. V. Kostenko, О. Т. Gonchar, I. P. Bagrianyi, Yu. I. Andruchovich, V. Barka, I. I. Bilyk, L. Deresh, О. S. Zabujko), French (T. de Rosnay, O. de Balzak, G. Leroux) and English (A. Christie, V. Woolf, I. Fleming, G. Orwell) writers. Main toponyms-concepts take the important part in creation Ukrainian, French and English world maps. In linguistic science, there are several approaches to the study of concepts. The main of them is a philosophical one, which is mostly adhered by French scholars. Domestic scholars tend to mostly interpret the notion of "concept" from the standpoint of psychology, sociology and such integrated disciplines as sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics. Unlike domestic and French researchers, British scholars view the term "concept" from the point of view of cognitive linguistics.
