Analyzed in the historical context the development of agricultural research in the territory of modern Ukraine as the basis for the formation of the system of distribution of agricultural knowledge and information, the scientific works of scientists have been studied, which have influenced the formation of a system of agricultural advisory services from the origin of experimental fields, the formation of systems for the spread of agricultural knowledge to the present day. The characteristic features of the main periods of evolutionary development of agricultural advisory work are summarized: the formation of agricultural research in the territory of modern Ukraine during the reign of the Russian Empire; organization of the system of dissemination of the achievements of agrarian science and best practices in the Soviet era; formation and development of a system of agricultural advisory services in independent Ukraine. The dissertation is based on the historical analysis of the evolution of the formation and development of systems for the dissemination of new agricultural knowledge and information in Ukraine and in the world, the study of the basic principles of the organization of such activities, its interaction with agrarian business, government, science and education, the theory and practice of agricultural advisory activity in the independent Ukraine The leading role of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, educational institutions of agrarian education and prominent Ukrainian scientists in the development of agricultural advisory activity was characterized.
