Essay

The object of research: the process of training of future teachers of foreign languages in higher education institutions. The aim of research: theoretical substantiation, practical development and experimental verification of scientific and methodical principles of formation of reading competence of future teachers of foreign languages by means of educational software. The subject of research: scientific and methodical principles of forming the reader's competence of future teachers of foreign languages by means of educational software in the process of professional training in higher education institutions. The results of research: in the dissertation the problem of formation of the reader competence of future teachers of foreign languages by means of educational software is investigated. The conceptual and categorical apparatus of professional pedagogy («competency», «competence», «foreign language competence», «reading competency of future teachers of foreign languages», «educational software for formation of reading competence») is specified; Components, criteria, indicators and levels of reading competence of future teachers of foreign languages by means of educational software are determined. The scientific substantiation of the scientific and methodical foundations of the formation of the reading competence of future foreign language teachers by means of educational software: the technology of designing educational computer programs based on general and specific principles of teaching and basic functions of didactic means and taking into account the peculiarities of forming components of reading competence; developed complex of educational software; models and aggregates of organizational and pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of forming activities in the process of vocational training. The model, which contains the target, content and operational, productive blocks and organizational and pedagogical conditions that provide the effectiveness of the educational process, is proposed. The experimental verification of the effectiveness of the scientific and methodological foundations of forming the reading competence of future teachers of foreign languages by means of educational software confirmed the hypothesis of the study on their effectiveness, as evidenced by a comparison of average integral assessments of reading competence at the experimental stages. The sphere of usage: the research results are implemented in the educational process of higher educational institutions.
