The thesis is devoted to the comprehensive study of intermediation models on the global food market. In this context the paper researches the national priorities for improving the international intermediation. The paper generalized and systematized approaches to the interpretation of the “intermediation” notion essence. The precise definition of intermediation is given. The study identifies the stages of the historical evolution of economic intermediation and defines the current stage as a stage of digitalization. On the basis of the concept two intermediation models are identified. There is a definition of the notion of intermediation model on the global commodity market given in the thesis. The thesis analyses the key features of the global food market. The study determines the dominants of intermediation development on the indicated market. The researcher identifies the main triggers of the transformation of the trading intermediation model into the network intermediation model. The study discovers the modern forms of intermediaries. The paper analyzes the modern food market in Ukraine including internal demand specific and the international positions.
