Polishchuk O. Electoral Technologies in Ukraine: Specific of Application and Main Trends of Development

Object – the election technology. The objective – is identify the specifics of application and the main trends in the development of electoral technologies in Ukraine on the example of nationwide election campaigns. Methods – the structural-functional, systemic, case study, institutional, comparative, etc. The theoretical and practical results – the specifics of the use of electoral technologies and the main tendencies of their development in Ukraine are revealed. The novelty – the conceptualization of electoral technologies as the basic category of the electoral process is proposed; it is argued that the professionalization of the sphere of political consulting in Ukraine serves as a guarantee of democratization of the transitive political regime; the study of applied aspects of the application of basic electoral technologies in the context of the comparative approach has been improved; the typology of electoral technologies has been improved on the basis of the criterion of targeting the type of target audience according to the age of its members; the further assertion that the actual electoral process involves the passage of two mega-stages: the first - preparatory, the second - the official election campaign; further developed the situation regarding the features of programs of Ukrainian political parties and positioning strategies, as well as recommendations for improving the efficiency of use and the level of democracy in electoral technologies under conditions of real electoral campaigns in Ukraine. The rate of implementation – the development of recommendations for the development of an optimal electoral system that would ensure the representation of the largest number of social groups and guaranteed responsibility for policy decisions. The scope of application – the activity of power structures, the political parties, the public organizations.
