Object – the process of professional training of future engineers of automobile and road industry; aim – to determine the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally checked pedagogical conditions of social responsibility forming in future professionals of automobile and road industry on the students’ social responsibility development level; methods – theoretical, empirical, of mathematical statistics; novelty – the research is the first to substantiate and experimentally check the pedagogical conditions of social responsibility forming in future professionals of automobile and road industry in the course of their professional training; the notion of social responsibility of future engineer of automobile and road industry is defined as an integrated personal quality that makes him/her choose the strategy of actions directed at ensuring the organization of the production process, staff work, safety of life and health of drivers, passengers and pedestrians; prevention of technogenic disasters, traffic accidents; road infrastructure environmental safety and further innovative development of the given professional sphere; the structural components of social responsibility of future engineers of automobile and road industry are analysed; the criteria and indices for determining the social responsibility development level in future engineers of automobile and road industry are studied; the forms and methods of social responsibility forming in future engineers of automobile and road industry are analysed; results – the substantiated pedagogical conditions of social responsibility forming in future professionals of automobile and road industry have been experimentally checked, their efficiency has been proved and their implementation is recommended in the technical institutions of higher education. Theoretical ideas and practical recommendations of the research will be helpful for academics engaged in professional training of students during both class and out of class activities; they will be useful for developing teaching programmes and teaching manuals; they will be helpful for students working at course and Master degree projects. The materials of the research may be used in professional development courses for the teaching staff; field – pedagogy.
