The dissertation is devoted to the problem of psychological prophylaxis of the "emotional burnout" syndrome among cadets, who study at higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. It was defined that the "resistibility" phase, which is expressed by the desire for psychological comfort and privacy, the reduction of emotional devotion to the process of studying, is the dominant element in the structure of the "emotional burnout". It was determined that the phase of "exhaustion" is less developed and the least expressed is the phase of "stress". It was proved that, during the formation of the "emotional burnout" syndrome, cadets experience an increase of "inadequate selective and emotional response", "emotional distraction", "reduction of professional duties", "emotional deficit" and "expansion of the sphere of saving of emotions". The existence of the connection of professional disadaptation, viability, individual and typological peculiarities, coping strategies of behaviour, stable functional states to the cadets' "emotional burnout" syndrome were defined. It was established, that the lower the level of professional disadaptation is, and the higher viability is shown, the less negative manifestations of the "emotional burnout" syndrome can be seen.
