Leiberiuk O. Mapping of the demographic development of the Ukrainian's regions: the nature and organization (in example of Chernivtsi Oblast)

The work is devoted to the problem of scientific-practical development of methodical bases to help create and realize a GIS-based cartographic system that would monitor Ukrainian regions' demographic development. The Chernivtsi Oblast has been chosen as the object of said system's testing. The analysis of geodemographic process for the Chernivtsi Oblast allowed for disclosure of qualitative characteristics of demographic changes and the effect of natural and migration movements on the formation of the oblast's general growth. The study of the dynamics of geodemographic process types in 2005 and 2014 was helpful in ascertainment of stable territories with positive values of geo-demographic processes (GDP) (southern areas of the oblast), negative GDP values (the oblast's eastern and northern areas), and the territories showing dynamic GDP.
