Achievement of high level of sport skill is carried out at the expense of fundamental, complex and purposeful technical training of athletes who are engaged in esthetic group gymnastics to which the leading place in sports training at all stages of long-term preparation belongs, in particular at a stage of specialized basic training. In this regard, there is a need for scientific justification of ways to improve the technical training of 14-16 years old athletes, who are engaged in group aesthetic gymnastics at this stage. The basis of experimental methods of improving technical training was the training program on aesthetic group gymnastics for the stage of specialized basic training, approved by the Federation of aesthetic gymnastics of Ukraine (2008). The experimental methods were developed according to the goals and objectives of the stage, didactic, methodological and specific principles of sport training, competition calendar, the level of preparedness of gymnasts, the results of competitive activity, correlation and factor analysis. Features of the methods were: purposeful use of methods and means of sports training applied and practical nature, which were used in the process of improving the mandatory basic elements, additional ligaments and acrobatic exercises in aesthetic group gymnastics; planning sets of exercises to improve basic elements (to improve technology implementation equilibria, body movements, turns, jumps), and acrobatic exercises; the introduction of choreography (neoclassical choreography) and artistic components technical training (10-30% and 5-10% of the total time, respectively) during the period of centralized training sessions of controlling preparatory and precompetition mesocycles, with involvement of leading experts in dance and theatre arts; planning 6 training and 2 modelling competitions, in the basic, controlling and preparatory mesocycles; the use of working technical protocols (with symbols) in the process of competitive activity for the rapid assessment of the level of technical readiness of gymnasts to determine the quantitative and qualitative indicators of the basic elements and additional connection. Analysis of the results after implemented methodology indicates the significant increase of indexes of technical preparedness and functional state in the experimental group of athletes in the control tests, "the combination of the three movements", "additional bundle", "Flamingo", samples by Yarotsky, Romberg and Rufie (p ? 0,05-0,001); the increase in quantitative and qualitative correlation in the indicators of technical preparedness, functional state and among them; the improvement of results of competition activity of the team "Viva Victoria", at both the national and world levels. The effectiveness of the experimental methods of improving technical training is confirmed by the expert evaluation of aesthetic group gymnastics specialists with the Kendall concordance coefficient of 92.8%. The results of the theses research are implemented in the training process of the Department of aesthetic gymnastics of the children and youth sport school № 4, Kamianske Dnipropetrovsk region and the national team "Vivend" Zaporizhzhya state medical University, Federation of aesthetic gymnastics of Ukraine, in the educational process of the Prydniprovsk state academy of physical culture and sport in disciplines "Theory and methodology of sports" (specialization "Gymnastics") and "System of training athletes in Olympic, professional and non-Olympic sports", as evidenced by the relevant acts.
