The dissertation presents the results of a theoretical experimental study on the definition, substantiation and experimental verification of the methodology of forming the future music teachers self-dependence within the distance learning process and a set of organizational-and-pedagogical terms ensuring its effectiveness. The content, essence and structure of independence of future music teachers, criteria, indicators and levels of its formation have been established. The analysis of the scientific-theoretical and practical experience in the use of distance learning has been carried out; the forms, methods, technological models, stages and logic of organizing students' independent study activities in a distance environment have been determined. Organizational-and-pedagogical terms have been substantiated, a complex methodology has been developed; the content of the pedagogical experiment to test the effectiveness of the methodology of the future music teachers self-dependence within the distance learning process has been highlighted. The results of the study proved the effectiveness of the experimental methodology, positive changes in the levels of formation of students' self-dependence both by motivational, informative, activity and reflexive criteria, and in general.
