During the course of the dissertation work the generalized estimations of changes on the part of leading psychophysiological functions and personality traits of the students taking place in the dynamics of the educational process were carried out; the method of complex assessment of the level of expression of educational stress among students of higher education institutions of the medical profile during the training period and in the pre-examinations and examinations periods, scientifically substantiated psychophysiological criteria for assessing adaptive possibilities of the organism of students of institutions of higher medical education in conditions of academic stress, one of which must include: determination and taking into account the character of changes in the major features of psychophysiological functions of students of higher education institutions in the dynamics medical profile of the academic year in continuous academic stress; taking into account the data of the psychophysiological analysis of the regularities of the changes from the leading personality traits of students of higher medical education institutions that occur during the educational year in conditions of constant academic stress; determination of the character of changes due to the leading characteristics of the functional possibilities of the organism and the peculiarities of the course of psychophysio-logical adaptation of students in the conditions of the pre-examinations and examinations situational educational stress; taking into account the data of the prognostic assessment of the peculiarities of the course of psychophysiological adaptation of students during the academic year and the changes made by its individual psychophysiologically- and mentally-determined correlates among young girls and young boys; use of the method of integrated assessment of the level of expression of educational stress among students of institutions of higher medical education during the training period and in the pre-examinations and examinations periods.
