Essay

The paper is devoted to the analysis of the flint materials of the Trypillyan population of the stage BI in the Middle Dnister river. The research is based on the analysis of artifacts from the settlement of Ozhev-Ostriv. As a result of the study, it was possible to establish the main technical and typological features of the settlement. On the basis of the results of the square analysis of the discovered artifacts, it was determined that production took place directly within the buildings in specially designated places. When comparing the settlements of Ozhev-Ostriv with the materials obtained in other settlements of the same region, we have identified the main features of the turning processing (regardless of the chronological position of the monuments), which in our opinion characterize the period as a whole. The traces of the industry's origins and its further development. The causes of changes in the silicon production are considered. Changes are associated with the development of both agriculture and cattle breeding. The issue of the existence of settlements specializing in flint processing is considered.
