Derunets N. The status of trade offices and missions in international law (legal and institutional issues).

The thesis is devoted to the theoretical and practical aspects of the formation and development of the legal status of trade offices and missions in international law. There are distinguished the ancient, medieval, modern and contemporary periods of the state trade policy, carried out by the authorized bodies of foreign relations with the corresponding status in international law from the second half of the ХІХ century. The United Nations and international economic organizations have developed common rules for trade and settlement of trade disputes by peaceful means. The influence of the UN General Assembly resolutions on the legal regulation of trade relations is described, and their classification is proposed. It is proved that universal international treaties define the legal status of trade missions and their employees, but in the modern period, in the context of the crisis of globalization, bilateral treaties of states continue to play a significant role in international trade regulation. The international legal implementation experience of organizational and legal models of providing foreign economic functions by states is covered. There are five models of trade representation. The reform of the institutional and normative mechanisms of the trade representation of Ukraine is proposed, which could contribute to the effective development of its economy and enable the free flow of Ukrainian to foreign markets in the context of current international economic relations crisis.
