Polishchuk N. The term-vocabulary as an update source of the newspaper text (based on the material of the newspapers of the first decades of the ХХІ century).

The thesis is devoted to the research of term-vocabulary in the modern Ukrainian newspaper text. The term-vocabulary is considered in two aspects: structural-semantic and communicative-functional. The content of the term “term-vocabulary” is deepened. This term has considerably expanded its content and volume today. The specifics of its functioning in the modern newspaper text are found out. The problems of linguistic dynamism are substantiated, in particular, the processes of actualization, activation, denotative-connotative reorientation, passivization of modern newspaper lexicon. The consequences of the semantics evolution of term-lexeme out of bounds the terminology field, which occurs in the determinologization process, are outlined. The analysis of 2,755 term-lexeme, realized in mass-media contexts, is made. 23 thematic groups are distinguished, within them lexico-semantic groups of term-vocabulary with modified semantics and emotionally expressive coloring. The thematic range and frequency of the use of metaphors, created on the basis of term-vocabulary, are established. The most vivid language features of the semantic and stylistic phenomenon of word games as a means of expressing of the author’s language are revealed. The modeling of the graphic game as a kind of game of language is traced. The general language innovations are investigated, the permanent process of their appearance is considered and analyzed, the typology of the innovative term-vocabulary in the newspaper materials of social and political subjects is revealed.
