Leu Z. Specific nature of standardisation in the system of vocational education and training of Great Britain

The object of the research – the system of vocational education and training in the UK. The subject of the research – the features of the standardization of vocational education and training in the UK. The dissertation research is devoted to investigating the specific nature of standardisation in vocational education and training system (VET) of Great Britain. For revealing the content and organisation features of VET standardisation in Great Britain their social and policy context is analysed. That redounded to elaborate the appropriate recommendations on quality assurance for professional (vocational) education (P(V)E) of Ukraine with a particular emphasis on standardisation issues. The state-of-arts of the Ukrainian P(V)E standardisation is analysed to outline findings and stakeholders’ impact (native and foreign) on the system development. Having the results, the comparison of British and Ukrainian contexts of standardisation is made to find common and different aspects. Summarising the above the recommendations for standardization improvement in P(V)E system of Ukraine are formulated and implemented into practice of regional VET scientific(training)-methodic centers and VET schools of Ukraine.
