Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the issues of substantiation, development and study of the effectiveness in using the cultural heritage of the Olympic movement in the system of Olympic education in the process of educational activity of 8th grade pupils at institutions of general secondary education. There is done the analysis of contemporary views on the significance of the Olympic culture as a bearer of historical, ideological, axiological potentials, which can contribute to the formation of initiative, self-support, creative thinking among school students, and others like that. There is determined the place of cultural heritage of the Olympic movement in educational systems, and is generalized international and domestic experience of artistic and aesthetic upbringing in the system of secondary school education.
