The dissertation addresses the scientific substantiation and development of approaches to improving the efficiency of organizational and methodological support for health-enhancing and recreational activities of students in out-of-school educational institutions focused on outdoor and local lore activities in order to engage youth in regular physical exercises, to organize creative leisure, and to improve the indicators of physical condition and psycho-emotional state. The program was implemented in extra-curricular time of the students and was designed to last 10 months, with a weekly training load of 6 hours. The results of the study were introduced into the practice of out-of-school educational institutions focused on outdoor and local lore activities. The effectiveness of the developed approaches to organizational and methodological support is evidenced by an increase in the volume of specially organized physical activity of high school students, improvement of indicators of their physical health, and psychophysiological indicators.
