Solovei G. Evolution of the scientific foundations for the use of anti-erosion measures in the agriculture of Western Ukraine (second half of the 20th – beginning of the 21th centuries)

This dissertation is a complex scientific-historical research in which was provided an analysis of the development of the scientific basis for the application of anti-erosion measures in the agriculture of Western Ukraine. The analysis is based on the use of a diverse source base and methodological approaches. The historical features of the formation and development of scientific thought on the research problem has determined. The contribution of higher educational establishments, research institutions, and individuals to the development of theoretical and methodological foundations and the practical implementation of soil protection technologies in the agriculture of Western Ukraine has been determined. The role of state regulation in the development of effective science-based measures to combat soil erosion has been established. The importance of scientific and organizational activity of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine was revealed, which consisted in the coordination of research works in the direction of development and improvement of recommendation for the production of anti-erosion technologies, taking into account the latest developments of scientists.
