In the dissertation the method of teaching students of language specialities of Chinese written speech at the foreign level of training is practically developed and experimentally tested. It is substantiated that the methodological basis of the formation of the Chinese-speaking competence in written language for future philologists is the communicative socio-cultural, competence-based grouped on the principles of communicative, authentic nature of educational materials, situationality, information breach, effectiveness, practical orientation of the educational process, integrated written language teaching and language aspects, culture teaching, dominant role of exercises. The basic method is themethod of implementation of exercises. The substantive, logical and linguistic-speech difficulties of teaching the Chinese writing for future philologists are analyzed. It has beenestablished that most of these difficulties are caused by typological features of the Chinese language and culture. A system of exercises for the development of competence in Chinese written language for future philologists has been developed. The system of exercises covers subsystems focused on the training of each genre separately, as well as developed subsystems of exercises for learning to write abstracts (abstracts of written texts, primary sources, abstracts of oral texts, primary sources), for learning to write abstract-messages, for learning to write essays-reviews (comparative essays, cumulativ eabstracts, diachronic abstracts), for learning to write own statements (functional type of description, functional type of message).
