In the thesis the problem of training of future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature for the use of media education means in professional activity is generalized and practical solution is proposed. The conceptual apparatus of the study of the problem of training of future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature for the use of media education means in professional activity is characterized. The state of development of the problem of training of future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature for the use of media education means in professional activity in pedagogical theory and practice is determined. The model of training of future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature for the use of media education means in professional activity is developed and pedagogical conditions of its implementation are substantiated. The model contains interconnected units: theoretical-methodological (purpose, tasks, methodological approaches (personality-oriented, competence, systems, text-centric, praxeological, informational), general-didactic and specific principles, content-procedural (content, stages, forms, methods, means), diagnostic-resultative (criteria, indicators, diagnostic tools, levels, expected results), is implemented in stages (motivational, research, integrative), and the result of its implementation is formed readiness of future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature for the use of media education means in professional activity. The effectiveness of the developed model is confirmed by the following pedagogical conditions: ensuring integration of the content of media education in professional disciplines in order to create a positive motivation to use media education means in professional activity; mastering by students of culture of research work with media text; creation and use by students of their own media education product in the process of educational and extra-curricular activities. The educational-methodological provision of the model of training future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature for the use of media education in professional activity and pedagogical conditions of its implementation is developed and implemented. It is proved that educational-methodological provision confirms effectiveness of the model and pedagogical conditions of its implementation. The effectiveness of the model of training of future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature for the use of media education means in professional activity and pedagogical conditions of its implementation has been experimentally tested.
