The dissertation is devoted to theoretical and experimental research of parameters of manufacturing screw working bodies of extruders. Theoretical prerequisites for providing higher accuracy of cutting external screw grooves are developed, while it is advisable to use a groove cutting device instead of using one cutter, as this leads to decreasing in the amount of the workpiece deformation under a stable cutting process. Force parameters and boundary geometric factors of the process of strengthening the screw surfaces of working bodies are investigated. Analytical dependencies are derived, which make it possible to establish the power parameters of the process of surface hardening. Dynamics of strengthening of screw working bodies by deforming punches is researched. Analytical dependences for determination of the total forces of interaction of the deforming punch with the screw working body are derived. It is substantiated that increase in the overlapping of screw surface of the working body and the deforming punch leads to an increase in force parameters. Dynamics of impulse strengthening of the surface of working body by single strikes at different points of their application and different values of stiffness and duration of impact impulse action is evaluated. Special technological equipment and rolling tool for research purposes are designed. On the basis of theoretical and experimental researches, the basic parameters of the technological process of making screw working bodies of extruders are substantiated. Introduction into production is the result of theoretical and experimental researches.
